Act's Laboratory Fluid Bed is ideal for a wide range of process applications, including: * Coating
* Agglomeration* Heating
* Granulation* Drying
* Cooling
Drying
Heated air passes through the fluidized particles to remove moisture rapidly and efficiently. The process can use lower temperatures than conventional methods.
Granulating
Spraying a binding agent into a fluidized powder produces particles with very uniform size, weight, and shape. The fluid bed can also be used as a dryer once the desired particle size is reached.
Coating
Liquids can be easily sprayed onto fluidized particles from the top or bottom, producing an even and uniform coating.
The standard model comes with removable acrylic upper chamber, removable stainless bowl with handle, removable stainless steel distributor plate (6.33% open area), polyester exhaust air filters with stainless steel clamps, stainless steel wire frame filter support and replaceable inlet air dust filter. The spray system also includes nozzle, air cap, fluid tip, manual tip cleaner, extension, tubing, compressed air connectors, air pressure regulator and air pressure gauge. All necessary seals, clamps and gaskets are also included.
